The Process

The bead-making process, whether lamp-worked or torch-worked, consists of an artist forming beads from rods of solid glass.
The glass rod is placed into the flame until molten which is then wrapped around a mandrel to form the shape of the bead.
When ROX beads are infused with authentic horsehair, it causes a lovely "bubbled" appearance but retains its smooth finish.

When the glass beads are infused with ash it clearly shows the ash captured in the beautiful Keepsake bead.
ROX beads are available in various sizes, shapes, and hundreds of colors and color combinations.

Our artist glass fused plates are made by first, heat fusing solid sheets of glass together in a large kiln, and then again to actual "slump" the glass into the desired shape.

Using your photograph, ROX will create a one-of-a-kind glass plate of heirloom quality.
